Shark Week
Off the coast of South Africa, massive one-ton great white sharks blast from the water at 25 mph, with almost no warning, to pull a sneak attack on the seals that congregate there. Producer Jeff Kurr travels to the scene to investigate the aerial attacks armed with state-of-the-art equipment in the one-hour special ULTIMATE AIR JAWS, kicking off cable’s longest-running event – SHARK WEEK 2010 – on Sunday, August 1 at 9 PM ET/PT.
Also in this year’s SHARK WEEK, watch the power of a shark bite filmed with the latest high-tech cameras from extraordinary angles; find out how shark attacks can happen, and what you can do so that neither you nor the shark gets hurt; learn valuable lessons from six people who survived shark attacks, and hear why they don’t blame the sharks; hear what happened in 2008 when fear gripped beaches along the coast of California and Mexico in the wake of several horrific shark attacks; and dive through some of the most jaw-dropping moments from past SHARK WEEK specials with late night talk show host Craig Ferguson.
Starts Sunday, August 1st at 9 pm e/p, only on Discovery Channel.

He shows you how to be alive, not just stay alive.
New season airs Wednesdays at 9pm e/p starting on August 11on Discovery Channel.
Dual Survivor
Experts agree there are some very basic — and universal — rules for surviving in the wild. Find shelter, find water, find food, find help. Beyond that, there's not much they agree on. Meet military trained Dave Canterbury and naturalist Cody Lundin — trained survival experts who have very different methods of meeting survival challenges.
Together, with their drastically different backgrounds, the pair is dropped into scenarios that could happen to anyone: marooned sailors, lost hikers, trapped divers and stranded mountain climbers. Equipped with minimal gear that would have been carried in the real-life situations, Cody and Dave must draw upon their arsenal of skills to devise extraordinary ways to use what they can find in their surroundings to demonstrate what it takes to stay alive.
Premieres Fridays at 10p e/p only on Discovery Channel.
